So how does it all work?

Life Beads Kenya is a charitable organisation based in Naivasha, Kenya. All money we make goes back into our project, helping women, disabled persons and street children build a better life. The more money we make, the more people we can help and offer new and exciting opportunities to.

Our recently setup website allows us to explore selling our goods online, not only to people in Kenya but internationally too.

Where do you deliver to?

Wherever the Kenyan Postal Service will allow! We’ve already successfully sent orders to the United States, United Kingdom & Australia, so we’d very much like to add to that list. When you place your order we’ll ask for your address – once it’s received we’ll check with our Post Office and see what we can do.

How will you post it?

We use our local postal service.

The Kenyan Postal Service is well linked internationally, so all our goods will be hand-delivered to the local Post Office in Naivasha, Kenya. We can, if you really need it, send goods via EMS or DHL – but there will be additional costs with this premium service.

How much does the postage cost?

The table below outlines our postage costs for both domestic (Kenyan) and international deliveries. Initially we will estimate your delivery cost based on International rates. However, if you live in Kenya the cost will be revised during the checkout process. In order to get the correct, appropriate rate, please select your currency below:

We get our prices from the Postal Corporation of Kenya – so you’re most welcome to also check on their website to verify our charges.

How long do orders normally take?

All our items are hand made to order at our Workshop in Naivasha, Kenya. We can normally make items within a few days, but if you’ve placed a high volume order then we’ll email you about expected production times.

Once we’ve made the item and delivered it to the Post Office in Naivasha, domestic orders normally take around 3 days, whilst International orders will take around 10 days.

How do you take payment?

Once we receive your order, we will review what you’ve ordered and get back to you with a confirmation (whether we can make the quantity you’ve ordered and/or confirm the shipping cost etc).

Within the confirmation email will be a link to our payment page, where you can pay for your order online using Visa, MasterCard etc. – the payment facility is provided by Google Checkout.

Can I pay online?

Yes, we’re connected. Our payments are processed using Google Checkout, but remember you can only pay once we’ve confirmed your order (see above). When we reply back to you, you’ll receive a link where you can pay for your order online using Visa, MasterCard etc.

Can I track the parcel?

Unfortunately not, unless you’d rather we ship the package via EMS or DHL, but there will be a premium cost associated with it.

Can I get a refund?

If you live near Naivasha and are able to pop in, we will gladly exchange any item or repair it for you. However, for international orders we’re very sorry, but a refund policy would be prohibitive to us.

If we’ve got muddled up and sent you the wrong item, we will gladly send you the correct item (and apologise). But, if the product is not up to your quality standards or not what you expected, we’re sorry, at present we’re unable to refund you. But do get in touch, we wont ignore you – we’ll do all we can to help, but we need to say now that in all but very special cases, we can’t offer a refund for International orders.

What if my order doesn’t arrive?

Please let us know as soon as possible and we will follow up with the local Post Office. We will do what we can to help or provide information as to the whereabouts of the delivery. We’ll discuss via email and then work out what to do next.
